Get to know this month’s RightFit Personal Training featured trainer, Sarah Stewart! As one of our top personal trainers in Austin, TX, Sarah offers transcendent training to educate and enhance adherence to a comprehensive fitness and wellness program. 

Why did you become a personal trainer? 

When I was in high school, I took an AP anatomy class and fell in love with learning anatomy. I had found something I was passionate about. I didn’t have a lot of parental influence to be anything other than a teacher, and I definitely did not see myself in the school system. At my university, I finally came up with my major, Exercise Sports Science, after working for the Fit/Well department. From there all my classes and experiences sparked even more passion and it was clear I would be in the field. I found a paying internship (away from West Texas in Sarasota, Florida at OPTI (Optimal Performance Training Center) and was given almost every tool possible to excel in the field, in which I called myself a Sports Conditioning and Fitness Specialist. I moved to Austin and pursued a career that has been incredible since!

What are your favorite things about being a personal trainer?

Working with the human body, helping clients become more educated, in order to be stronger and healthier, and live life to their fullest with a strong body and mind.

If you could train one celebrity, who would it be and why?

I’m not necessarily politically engaged with a certain party, but I’ve always wanted to train George Bush!

Austin Personal TrainerIf you had one workout style to describe yourself, what would it be? 

Developing the kinetic chain to be titanium strong through precision and scienctific protocol.

In your mind, what is the single biggest benefit for someone to hire a personal trainer?

There is never a point where someone stops learning, so I’m like a tutor for neuromuscular and nutritional development.

What are your hobbies?

Anything outside in the sun and our pups!!

Any guilty pleasures?

Pizza!
