About Erika Olynyk

Miina Olynyk, B.S. Sport Science, NFPT-CPT

I strive to make her clients feel energized and powerful by incorporating strength, cardio, mobility and balance work into my functional training programs. The complete approach transfers into the activities of the daily life and is planned to improve the quality of life by improved health and energy levels.

I specialize in women’s strength training and weight loss, and couples training. With my own background in a corporate job I understand the challenges daily inactivity poses into our wellbeing. By adding mobility work into strength training sessions you will be able to use up the whole range of motion and reach better efficiency in your training as well as experience improved mobility in your joints and less tightness in the muscles. Incorporating Balance exercises into the routine helps to stabilize joints, which is important for joint health.

Studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science in Finland and Canada Miina learned about different aspects of fitness and its health benefits for the human body. She uses the knowledge gained from university and continues to educate herself to be able to create the best possible program for each client. In Austin Miina has worked for different gyms and fitness studios such as the YMCA, Ignite Fitnez, and F45 before starting her own personal training business.

Training Philosophy
My training philosophy combines strength, balance, cardio and mobility to create a complete functional training program which transforms into the activities of daily life and improve the quality if life by improved health and energy levels.

Training Professionally Since

Typical Training Session

Every person is unique, and so are workouts, but generally I start the session with a dynamic warmup and muscle and balance activation, followed by strength exercises specifically chosen for the individual. I like to add high intensity circuit at the end to burn calories and boost the metabolism. I always end the session with static stretching to the key areas worked on during that session to prevent muscle tightness.

Client success story

My client had issues with the hip joint when dancing (he’s a competitive ballroom dancer). Following my training plan with strengthening of the muscles in the hip area, and improved general mobility and strength, he is now pain free!
