As a Spartan SGX coach, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and Russian Kettlebell certified instructor, Coach MK coaches individuals and groups in Chicago, online, on the Spartan field, and around the world at destination fitness retreats. Most recently, Maeve40 Fitness hosted the first Wander Woman Retreat in New Buffalo Michigan in June 2019, and a series of bootcamp classes in Martha’s Vineyard in August 2019.
After recovering from a back injury in 2014, Coach MK ventured into NPC Bikini competitions and as a true competitor determined that mediocrity was not for her. After a few shows under my belt, she won the Titan Open in Wisconsin in all classes–Open, Masters and Novice. With the fire of the competition circuit in her blood, she decided to become a NASM Certified Personal Trainer to start her own health, lifestyle and fitness brand, MAEVE40 Fitness.
MAEVE40 Fitness is focused on helping individuals to their next level greatness by channeling the warrior spirit that is sometimes left dormant in us. Maeve was a warrior queen in Ireland so our focus is to help individuals awaken their inner warrior.

Thoughtful and creative sessions with a dynamic warmup, cool-down/assisted stretching. Depending on the number of sessions per week a client has on the schedule, programming will be set for the week combining total body workouts and/or body-part specific workouts or other specialized workouts (ie, Spartan, Kettlebell).
We have numerous success stories to report. Many of our success stories highlight reduction in visceral fat, gaining muscle mass and establishing health workout and nutrition habits to maintain of lifestyle. Some of our clients have run their first 5Ks, Spartan races, and we touched the lives of over 15 women through our first destination women’s wellness retreat.
In particular, our 1-on-1 client Rhonda B. lost over 20 lbs in about 3 months time, reducing body fat, improving body composition, reducing visceral fat and establishing healthy lifestyle habits as it pertains to nutrition and exercise.
One of our small group clients recently reported significant body composition improvements and weight loss in our 3-month Warrior-X group membership program.
