There’s no such thing as a typical training session. However, each session always has the GOAL of the client in mind. Every session varies based on a multitude of factors such as how a client is feeling mentally or physically. As trainer, I have a plan based on the needs and goals of a client, but always ready to adjust accordingly depending on how a client feels. Most importantly “Just Show Up” because it will be worth it regardless. Consistency and a Solid Coach is the Secret.
I will let the testimonial below speak for itself!
Hi Coach Dubz,
Absolutely! I had a great experience with the fitness challenge. Below is my feedback of my experience.
What was your overall experience like during the 8-Week Fitness Challenge?
The fitness challenge was a great kick-starter back into my fitness journey. Coach Dubz went above and beyond to make sure each challenge was tailored to my overall goals and my current fitness level. Too often I would go hard and burn out in similar challenges. Coach Dubz assured that I was challenging the right things at the right time. While getting me back on track when I inevitably slipped up. The program instilled an underlying personal challenge/accountability which I carry today in my fitness journey.
What is one thing you discovered or learned about yourself during this process? (Humor me if you want)
A man can’t survive on just one meal a day and no water! But seriously, this program was focused on all aspects of personal health, not just exercise. Through this I realized how negligent I was being with my diet. In the past I never worried too much about what I was eating or how frequent I was eating. I figured that I never needed to pay too much attention to those things, they usually sort themselves out. Boy was I wrong! Once Coach Dubz had had me paying attention to these things I started to notice how diet influences me from day to day. I wouldn’t say I’m a calorie or a macro monitor now, but what this program did was shine a light into practical nutrition choices that can make to point me in the right direction!
What specific result was achieved during the challenge are you most proud of?
For years I was trying to kick-start my personal fitness but I never knew where to start. I would try multiple challenges and would have stents where I would go hard for a week or two just to crash and burn the next. This challenge was the key to establishing consistency and showing myself that personal fitness can be a part of my life. The personal objectives and accountability set forth by Coach Dubz enforced the consistency and introduction that I needed to add a personal fitness back into my routine.
Would you recommend me as a coach and personal trainer to others?
Absolutely! It was apparent from day 1 how involved and driven you were to assure that I was meeting my goals. Your personal investment into my journey helped establish habits I still have today. I enjoyed your overall realistic approach you had with my fitness. Too often, people within the fitness world can get into an optimizing/maximizing mentality. This can be a huge huddle to overcome when you’re fist trying to get into it. Your approach for taking these concepts and applying them to my personal state is what allowed me to continue this well beyond the challenge. We didn’t need to be perfect today, we just needed to be better than yesterday. This didn’t mean that I could souch off either. You held me accountable for my personal goals and helped me get back on track when I strayed from time to time. This practical approach you had is what helped me get started and I would absolutely recommend you to whoever is trying to begin their fitness journey!
PJ, seriously this program was the catalyst for me getting back into fitness. It has been 8 months since I signed up for your challenge and I’m still going! Looking back, if I didn’t do your challenge I would have been in the same position, thinking that tomorrow was the day I was going to get in shape. If I could recommend one thing it would be to add a “what’s next” phase to the challenge. Once I got going I didn’t want to stop. I couldn’t stop. I think this would be a nice transition for you to highlight where we are and where we can go. You got the ball rolling, let’s see where we are rolling to!
Looking back this was an absolute great experience and key point to give me the kick in the ass that I needed. Thanks again for all the effort and passion you put into this challenge. Your hard work really showed!
– Michael
