I’m a Master-ranked (8th-degree black belt) instructor with 45 years of martial arts experience, over 20 years of teaching, and street effective self defense in both Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan. I specialize in martial arts style fitness for adults and seniors. I meld the wonders of traditional martial arts and the facts of modern science for better training and safety. I created a system for both standing and seated style of Tai Chi/Kung Fu for senior fitness.
I created this fitness system when my father suffered from multiple strokes, which eventually took away his mobility. After he passed I found that I truly love teaching Tai Chi/Kung Fu style fitness to people looking to exercise in a seated position which is great for seniors. The exercises are unique, safe, fun, but natural.

Learn Qi Gong, power distribution, range of motion, stability training, agility training, balance exercises, and to kick butt (not). All exercises are from your own body’s natural movements but expanding on those movements for a stronger and more dynamic body. My classes are not your typical “Tai Chi in the Park” or cardio fitness classes. You’ll definitely won’t go at the slow speeds your thinking about. We learn Tai Chi like martial artists, stress free while using both body and mind. Don’t expect to learn one of the hundreds of different types of Tai Chi forms. Expect to learn the core of Tai Chi so you can follow anyone doing a form in the park. We learn, discuss, laugh, and sweat.
I love to see my senior students become elated and surprised on how I lead a Tai Chi class. They often tell me that the movement and fitness lessons I impart to them have remarkedly improved their mobility as well as that “I’m strangely entertaining and down to earth”.
