Hi! Being overweight all through high school and college was not fun. After I had 3 children, it was my mission to lose the weight! I have lost 100 lbs and have kept it off. In that time, I have achieved many certifications and have taught many classes, including Active Adult and Senior classes. I very much enjoy getting to know the members in my class and hear how exercise has enhanced their lives. I teach a fun yet challenging class, where everyone is welcome. Every participant is different and I encourage modifications and/or regressions. Personal Training coupled with my knowledge of one on one assisted stretching makes me a well rounded instructor and personal trainer. I absolutely love helping people reach for their health and wellness goals.
Hourly rate: $90
Session cancellation: 24 hours notice required
First session is FREE
After meeting and understanding the clients goals, restrictions, limitations- I will put together a program that will challenge the member physically. I always say “you don’t want it if it’s easy…you can do easy at home!” Most of my clients feel amazing after their sessions. They are proud of themselves for accomplishing a tough workout. Again, not every client is the same, overall goals are very important when planning a session, even down to the amount of rest. I try to plan different workouts so the client doesn’t get bored and to keep the muscles guessing. I typically have a good rapport with my clients and text them within the next 2 days of their sessions to see how they feel. Check in’s are important. It keeps the client accountable.
Mike is an 83 year old and his cancer is in remission. We do assisted stretching twice a week. His mobility and flexibility were almost non-existent. When we started 6 months ago, he couldn’t get off the massage table on his own. Meaning, he couldn’t swing his legs down and sit up. His wife and I would have to help pull him up. Not only has his lower back loosened, hips released, all leg muscles lengthened, he can now get up off the table himself. The past 2 months, we have been doing light toning exercises to strengthen his core and lower back along with arms and shoulders. He walks daily now and has lost 10 lbs since we started. We are so happy with his progress. He was sleeping in his recliner because he couldn’t get out of bed….well, he is now sleeping in his bed!
