Train out of your home – The trainer comes to you.
I am a certified personal trainer, specialist in sports nutrition and registered yoga instructor. I am no stranger to the trials and achievements of weight loss and healthy living. Six years ago I decided that I was going to change my life and lose weight. In eight and a half months I lost 90 pounds and have kept it off. I didn’t have a trainer or a nutritional coach I figured it out a long the way. Since then I have earned two degrees of black belt, have become a competitive martials artists, ran ten full marathons (including one ultra) and have done more and become more physically than I ever thought I could be. More importantly I decided I wanted to help others do the same. I opened a personal training studio in the spring of 2015 to help others reach their goals in matter how big or how small.

When a client comes in, I like to work as much of the body in a session as we can. Multi joint and multiple muscle movements are a guarantee when a clients come in for a session. I do 90% of my training with free weights. Depending on the clients needs there may be days where we integrate HIIT, TRX or kettle bells into their workout. Working out should be fun and enjoyable to try keep the energy fun and empowering while still focusing on the clients goals.
When I first opened my studio I had a young woman contact me that wanted to be a paramedic however for could not pass the strength portion of the physical fitness test. There were requirements that she had to meet in order to get the job that she wanted. Carrying a 125 pound person in a “stair chair” up a flight of steps, being able to lift a gurney into an ambulance, and general strength for the demands of the job. We she started she had a hard time curling five pound weights. We only had about eight weeks to prepare her for her test. I had her do traditional weight lifting but also created special lifts that would mimic the lifts she would have to do in her test. We trained three days a week and she passed her fitness test with flying colors and has been a paramedic ever since!
