Training Philosophy
I employ a movement-based, functional style of training. Every client goes through a movement assessment so I can better understand what types of exercises they should and should not be performing. Function>Fitness, Movement>Muscle Groups

Training Professionally Since
August 10, 2015

Typical Training Session

Every session I seek out to achieve three key performance indicators. Was the session Safe? Effective? and Fun? If I achieve all three, I know the session went very well. I try my best to give the client a mix of what they NEED and what they WANT.
The shell of my sessions usually look like this.
Foam Rolling (5-8mins) Warm up/Movement Prep/Correctives (8-10mins) Strength training (20-35mins) Cardio Intervals (5-10mins)

Client success story

I set up an assessment with a member at the gym I used to train at off the floor. He was coming off of ACL surgery and was 9 months post surgery. He said to me “I hurt my knee skiing, but I do not want this to end my ability to snowboard and surf” I said back “I can never guarantee anything but I will do my best to get you back on the board.” This was the type of client who wanted to progress too fast and wanted results yesterday but trained 2-3x a week starting in September for 3 months. When Ski season came he went up to the Ski resort and I received a text message video of him skiing down the mountain and he wrote “Thank you for all you have done, I owe this to you!” It is things like this that help fuel my love for my profession.
