Hi, I’m Callie. I’m an ISSA certified Personal Trainer with 3+ years of experience training in-person and online. I worked at a local gym for a few years and now I’m the owner of an in-home training business offering one-on-one personal training in a private setting for women of all ages including, but limited to, high school & college students, young business women, brides-to-be, pregnant & postpartum women, and seniors. As a former teacher, I have a passion for educating clients how to utilize equipment & perform exercises safely, how to develop and maintain fitness & nutrition habits, and how to sustain a healthy lifestyle beyond training. I don’t believe in fad diets promoting fast results, expensive supplementation or products, or putting in long hours in the gym. I’m a knowledgeable, relatable, and energetic trainer who provides consistency, accountability, & motivation by creating and monitoring individualized fitness programs designed to accommodate client’s abilities and reach their health & fitness goals.

Typical Training Session

Training sessions start with muscle-specific warm up exercises and dynamic stretching, then a review of the training routine from the client’s individualized fitness tracker. We start with compound exercises and move onto supersets of isolated movements. Sessions end with static stretching and homework until the next session.

My biggest take away was learning to be HEALTHY not just physically, but also mentally. I learned that I needed food (fuel) to survive, not just for comfort. I had been so depressed all these years wondering why I couldn’t lose weight, why after being a runner since age 39 & conquering 4 full marathons, was I still tired & bloated all the time. It affected my everyday mind set.

I was successful in the past year by doing a lot of my own research on the things that caused my weight gain (extreme swelling & bloating), joint discomfort, fatigue, & fevers. A year ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I had this pain for about 4 years not knowing about my auto immune issues. I ate a lot of carbs & gluten products during my training for my 1st Spartan race, which I found out later were really hurting me. I had a lot of help from my friend, Beth, who went through similar things. She put me on a program that offered foods packed full of vitamins & nutrients & helped me find what worked for my specific body. I started to eliminate all the toxins in my body I had been putting in for many years. After I started to feel better with a bonus of weight loss, I started training at the gym with Callie. She helped me stay on track with my food logs. She monitored what food & how much water I put in my body, & helped me begin the process of building my strength back I had lost over the years.”
