About Ellie S

Hello! My name is Ellie and I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who specializes in rehab/corrective exercise, mobility, and fat loss. I have been a personal trainer since February 2023 and have a passion for helping people reach their goals! Although my main experience is in corrective exercise and creating foundational movement patterns, I also have experience in weight-loss and nutrition. I believe wellness should be accessible to everyone and want to help you improve your life starting with health. One day, I would love to start my own gym that teaches people both in-person and online. In my own fitness, I am looking forward to working my way up to running a marathon and am always looking for new ways to move!

Training Philosophy
I approach training from a functional standpoint. I strive to mimick everyday movement patterns by utilizing multiple muscle groups simultaneously. This helps your body maintain strength and coordination in both daily activities and exercise.

Training Professionally Since
February 1, 2023

Typical Training Session

The first session mainly consists of static, aerobic, and movement patterns assessments. We will continue to sporadically check in with assessments to evaluate progress. Once I gather the assessments and discuss goals, I will create a customized program to meet said goals

The following sessions will typically begin with a short mobility warmup, stability and activation, the main event (this is dependent on goals), and a brief cooldown.

Client success story

I began working with a young client experiencing severe upper back pain early in my career as a personal trainer. After receiving X-rays, she was diagnosed with moderate scoliosis. We began breaking down movement patterns and enhancing mind-muscle connection. We emphasized core and stability training until she has built a solid base. Fast forward 1.5 years, and she is able to run, weight lift, and go through daily activities without debilitating pain.

Many of my clients come to me experiencing back pain with no relief in sight. Often times, we are able to work together to create a foundation of strength that mitigates or completely resolve the pain.

Hobbies
I enjoy trying new recipes in the kitchen, all things art, and trying out new sports or activities
