Train out of your home – The trainer comes to you.
As a personal trainer with a mild form of cerebral palsy, my perspective is a bit different than the average. I developed a deeper understanding of muscle activation and motor function training thanks to years of physical therapy.
This led me to seek a degree in physical therapy however after I began my fitness journey, I discovered that a well-rounded exercise program, including significant resistance training, made a longer lasting impact on my body, and that revelation inspired me to switch my major to exercise science. In the process of getting this degree, I learned the art of adaptation and customizing for individual needs as well as traditional training techniques and exercise testing.
I did my pre- and post-grad internships at specialty facilities that catered to a range of individual needs, from chair aerobic classes to Olympic-lift form. Since then, I have worked in traditional gym settings and warehouse weightlifting gyms, and I recently started my own small business, which allows me to do in-home sessions as well.
I hope to improve my outreach so that those uncomfortable in traditional gym environments can still access the help they need.

My most memorable success story was the process of helping a client with a traumatic brain injury to regain the function needed to return to school and continue with his career path.
