About Justin L

I hold a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science, which directs my scientific approach to fitness training. I have a sincere passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. Since 2020, I’ve been specializing in athletic performance, speed, agility, mobility, flexibility, balance, strength, power and plyometrics. My training philosophy centers around the belief that “The one who loves walking will walk further than the one who loves the destination.” I emphasize the importance of enjoying the fitness journey, focusing on sustainable progress and holistic well-being. I create personalized programs that enhance overall athletic performance and everyday functionality. My goal is to inspire a lifelong commitment to health and fitness, making each step of the journey as fulfilling as the end result.

As an athlete, I bring a wealth of experience to my training. I am a two-time NCAA Division 3 Outdoor National High Jump Champion (2017 & 2018), with notable achievements in Division I NCAA competitions, including a 6th place finish at the 2019 PAC12 Outdoor Championships and an 8th place finish at the 2020 PAC12 Indoor Championships. I was also honored as the 2020 Student Athlete of the Month by CATS Academics at the University of Arizona.

Typical Training Session

Clients can expect a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body followed by skill development or technique work. The session will continue with strength and conditioning exercises, and mobility and flexibility training. The session concludes with balance and coordination drills, a cool-down period, and a brief review to discuss progress and set goals for the next session.

Client success story

One of my clients came to me with the goal of improving her overall fitness and flexibility after years of a sedentary lifestyle. Her initial goal was to “be healthy”. Through goal setting, she not only lost 20 pounds but also completed her first 10K race. She never imagined her life going from barely leaving her bed to completing an entire race. Her dedication and consistent effort transformed her health, boosting her confidence and inspiring her to maintain an active lifestyle.

Hobbies
