My name is Kayla Jane, aka Coach KJ. Born and raised Chicagoan, my personal sports are distance running and CrossFit – but my training specialty for clients is HIIT and BOOTCAMP style workouts. If you simply need a great workout every once in a while, with the motivation of a coach right alongside you, performing the movements, programming the class, and bringing a bunch of positive, FUN, energy, I’m your gal! I can program a class with bodyweight movements, dumbbells, barbells, and other equipment as available. I lean away from long-term fitness plans, or programming workouts for you to do in a gym. All about HIIT class-style on your own time!
I’ve been coaching part-time for nearly 5 years. My background includes coaching HIIT at group fitness studios as well as private luxury residences, personal training, and half and full marathon coaching. While my specialty is HIIT or BOOTCAMP style, I am also capable of programming beginner’s weightlifting, machines, spin, mobility/stretching, pilates, core, and run conditioning. I also love to dance but that doesn’t mean I’m good at it. 🙂
Hourly rate: $90

First session is FREE
Every session will be unique – you will not see any repeat sessions! I will likely workout right alongside you performing the same movement or modification. We can easily fill 60 minutes regardless of the available equipment. Ill bring a LOT of energy and play the music way too loud. We’ll use some time before meeting to understand how you respond to instruction – to make sure I create the environment you want. Whether that be focused on slow movements, starting at the beginning of fitness, and focusing on form in a calm environment OR if you want to sweat yourself a swimming pool with me yelling in your ear…or anywhere in between. While I am not a dietitian or nutritionist by degree, I have years of experience and minor certifications in nutrition to further support wellness goals. My most important goal is to make sure our sessions are welcoming, encouraging, and productive as defined by YOU. I never want you to be scared, stressed, or embarassed – and I always want you to look forward to our time together.
I’ve coached runners to their first marathon or from their couch to a 5K, 600+ calories burned for women bodyweight workouts on Zoom, the success of having members simply “show up” because coach KJ is there, leading Chicago’s largest run club, and more!
