Train out of your home – The trainer comes to you.
My focus is providing wellness and healing. In my own practice I’ve been able to improve my emotional and physical well-being. I’ve found it to be therapeutic, and self-nourishing. Developing and maintaining a personal practice can build strength, balance, and flexibility; but those are not the only facets of yoga. The heart of yoga values empowerment, mindfulness, safety, acceptance, and healing. It can be an extremely personal practice. All experience levels are welcomed. It’s my intent is to be receptive to the needs of my students to allow for a thoughtfully guided session. Yoga is for every body and can meet you where you are.

I like to include work that stimulates our parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation. This looks like Hatha, Restorative, and Yin yoga paired with Pranayama and Meditation.
Hatha. Postures (asans) are static. Moving through asanas is done at a slower pace. With attention to pranayama (breathing techniques) controlled movements, relaxation and meditation (dhyana.)
Restorative. Ruminative, deep breathing, designated stretching, opening, realigning. A relaxing slow practice with the use of props, to fully support the body providing release of mind and body tension.
Yin Yoga. “The quiet practice.” In Yin yoga, Asanas are held the longest. Much like Hatha and Restorative practices, there’s an emphasis on holding the pose rather than moving through a sequence more quickly, like you would see in Vinyassa.
Pranayama. (Prana “vital enery” ayama “expansion”) Deep, intentional breathing that fosters a space for composure and contentment, and suppports the movement of energy.
Meditations. Mindfulness, focused attention, resting awareness, and visual meditations.
