Train out of your home – The trainer comes to you.
Hello. My name is Kristian Gorena. I am originally from McAllen Texas but moved to San Antonio to further my education. I went to the University of the Incarnate word and graduated with a Bachelors in Biochemistry. I as well graduated with a Master’s in Biology and a Master’s level education in Nutrition. I have spent 15 years of my life in a gym learning proper techniques, forms, and progressions. I have played football at a collegiate level and as well participated in baseball, wrestling, soccer, and track and field. During my time in the gym I have spent my time correcting the postural form of myself and others in order to keep a person’s joints and body healthy. My current aspiration is to be able to assist athletes in their fitness journey with progression in sports performance while maintaining proper form to minimize any altered mechanics that can lead to further injury. Though this may be the area I would prefer to focus on I am never opposed to helping anyone in their journey with fitness and attempting to better themselves.

I like to begin with an assessment of each individual through a series of postural assessment and movement assessment such as an overhead squat assessment. If there are any muscular corrections needed, I prefer to address those first depending on the limitations of time. I enjoy keeping the client motivated with positive feedback as well as taking note of improvements and effort being put forth. Every exercise can be progressed or regressed as needed in order to fit the needs of the client so there will always be a way to carry out a movement that is applicable for the strength of the client. The session will be personalized to fit into your schedule, needs, ability, and enjoyment!
Recent client over the winter came to me wanting to add muscular weight onto their frame. Initially we addressed any muscular imbalances and spend 4 weeks times training proper form in the Stability stage of training. Once these imbalances were corrected, we spend time in the Strength Endurance phase of training which helped through progressive overload while maintaining those proper mechanics we initially spent time on. This client is now more than satisfied with their own personal results as well as the educational information I provided to them through our sessions together.
