Train out of your home – The trainer comes to you.
My passion for movement began in New Jersey, where I started classical ballet at four years old. While in high school, I trained on a professional track, but a meniscus injury abruptly ended that career pathway. Shortly after attending Dartmouth College, where I participated on the Dance Ensemble, I experienced a traumatic loss and struggled with my health until I was ultimately diagnosed with Lupus years later.
One fateful day in 2012, I walked into a yoga studio after work. I signed up for class just wanting to move my body, but the experience was life-changing, to say the least. Since then, I’ve competed in US and international championships and spent years honing my practice. In 2019, I completed my 300hr YTT at Lighthouse Yoga School in Manhattan, NY, and now teach private classes with clients.
I genuinely believe in the mind-body benefits of yoga. It’s helped me overcome mental and emotional struggles and supports me in maintaining my best physical health while managing lupus. Today, I live to share it with you — through teaching, education, and content. You can learn more about me, my journey, and my practice on IG: @whatgibbs or on my website; http://www.victoriagibbsyoga.com.

The first session is diagnostic as I always like to explore how a persons body moves before setting a curriculum. Of course, I have initial thoughts going into it but I can’t fully access until I meet someone and begin working with them. It’s important to know and understand what the client is looking for, gauge how willing they are to put in the work, as well as ensure that they feel understood and motivated/inspired throughout the entire lesson.
All of my students thoroughly enjoying working with me. I keep it light hearted and fun, but of course focus on all of the necessities throughout the lesson. I have seen all of my students progress in strength and flexibility when they consistently work with me, inevitably getting closer and closer to achieving their goals. I also like to take videos and photos in my lessons sometimes so that people can track their progress and know that the time and money that they are investing in me and themselves is working and worth it.
