Hi my name is McKenzie Rich and I am a recent graduate from Brigham Young University with a BS in Exercise and Wellness. My degree along with experience of working as a Fitness 101 intern and Fitness Specialist has instilled in me the importance of fitness and overall wellness. It’s more than just being fit physically it’s being fit in all categories of life body, mind, and spirit. My approach to training is to help clients create goals that hit all three dimensions of wellness. Not only do I want clients to work towards fitness goals but I want them to work towards being well throughout all aspects of their lives. My goal for my clients is for them to become a better version of themselves. My clients become my family.
Hourly rate: $50
Session cancellation: 24 hours notice required
First session is FREE
A typical training session with consist of a 5 minute warmup related to the workout we will be going through. Depending on the goals of the client we would spend time on each category. For example if someone wanted to work on strengthening their arms and core we would spend the first half of the session focusing on the arms, using various equipment such as weights, resistance bands, etc. the second part would be focused on the core. Which would include mat exercises using weights, and other equipment. If another client wanted to spend part of the session on mindfulness we would work on meditation techniques. Each session would be different with variety but still focused on reaching the goals of the clients.
I had one client in particular who came to me wanting to strengthen her arms so she could do more of her normal daily activities better. We bonded instantly and as we went through her training became super close. We focused again and again on her arms working on getting rid of the flab on her arms. After about a month of training she said to me “I can shut my windows without any issues now, I can lift up my bedroom mattress to put on the sheets without straining. I can do all these things because of our training sessions.” She saw success in her day to day life. That is my ultimate goal is to help improve the quality of life for all my clients.
