About Robert Maller

Although I was ACSM-CPT certified since 2013, and currently ISSA-CPT certified, I’ve been
training people for 41 years. I work well with special populations; clients over 50 and those with
special needs whose physical therapy prescriptions have ended. I’ve worked with clients with
Post-Polio Syndrome, Cushing’s Syndrome, MS, COPD, cancer, hypertension as well as
athletes training for a specific sport (e.g. volleyball), competitive bodybuilders and powerlifters.
Personal training is my true passion as I have a direct, positive impact on the quality of the daily
lives of others. As one client stated, it is my calling.

Training Philosophy
100% commitment to achieving my clients' goals, whatever they may be.

Training Professionally Since

Typical Training Session

My client can expect a workout specifically designed for his/her needs. For example, a deconditioned, older client requires a completely different protocol than a young/athletic client.

Client success story

I trained a client who had COPD. I studied the pathology and it’s symptoms and ramifications. The primary issue with a COPD patient is exhalation. To that end, we worked on several exercises with the emphasis of “blowing the air out.” My client now annually competes in the Run to the Top of the Hancock.

Hobbies
Music, politics, the Cubs
