Hey, y’all! I’m Suzanne, a fitness professional with over 20 years of success in a variety of positions within the fitness, personal training, and yoga industries. Armed with the experience and a passion for fitness, I am ready to make an immediate and long-standing contribution to your fitness goals, whether it be to build strength, improve health and wellness, or simply improve quality of life. While every client can expect their own individualized plan, the standard session begins with a dynamic warm-up as we briefly review our previous session. We then move onto variated interval training targeting multiple muscle groups while engaging the cardiovascular. After, we shift to core and additional floor work, including equipment such as bands, pilate balls, and weights. Following this we use therapeutic stretching techniques that are specifically designed for increased mobility and flexibility while decreasing risks of injury. Our sessions always consist of ever changing workouts, best for reducing repetitiveness and risk of boredom.
Shortly before the coronavirus, 57-year-old Nancy had reached the tipping point of her ever-growing weight gain. Ten years and over thirty pounds later, she reached out to me for a consultation. Here, I diagnosed this perpetual weight gain as a significant lack of performing correct exercise movements combined with a lack of cardiovascular activity, and a poor diet. Twelve successful sessions exposed an underlying issue of a weaker left side on her frontal plane, resulting in poor balance and muscle tone. Yet Nancy was eager to work, and as we began moving away from lighter weights and weaker bands, we formed a strong base. After Covid struck, we seamlessly transitioned to virtual training sessions, allowing her to become stronger and more coordinated. We also restructured her diet through my recommendations and brief meetings with food coaches. After fourteen months, we resumed our work in person, and to this day Nancy has continually achieved her goals of losing more body fat than she had gained, instead replacing it with significant amounts of lean muscle mass. This has led to the improvement of not only her posture and balance but her hair and skin. Nancy is one of many success stories my training regiment has helped my clients achieve.
