I love the seniors. I was sick and had to take gentle fitness classes. The most gentle class was with seniors. It was a great experience and the seniors were so welcoming. I decided I wanted to help seniors the way they helped me. I began teaching silver sneakers classes, then gentle stretch, then chair yoga, geriatrics personal training and swimming classes. I can confidently say I have helped increase balance, stamina and strength with all my clientele.
Hourly rate: $140
Session cancellation: 24 hours notice required
First session is FREE
When training together the client can look forward to breath work before, during and at the end of our training; close attention paid to posture and how the core is being held. Additionally the client can expect stretching and balance to be threaded into our strength training.
Bob B has been my client for one year. When he first came to me he relied on a walking aid and would quickly become fatigued and short of breath. His waistline was 57 inches and he was afraid of falling and losing independence. A year later he is a completely different man. He can walk without his walking aid and his posture is more upright. His waistline is 49 inches and he is more confident about slips and trips because we have practiced how to get down and up off of the floor. I am proud of him and he is proud of himself.
